 Thermography shows objective results relating to the physiology of pain, pathology, injury and dysfunction in any area of the body. One of the best tools available for spotting inflammation is thermography. Inflammation is a precursor to many diseases – arthritis, heart disease, diabetes and more, just to name a few.

Thermography has been shown to be of help to the dentist in:

  1. the diagnosis of chronic orofacial pain
  2. as a unique tool in assessment of TMJ disorders
  3. unexplained dental pain
  4. screening for dental/periodontal/gingival infection and inflammation
  5. Monitoring dental treatments and the healing response
